Jonathan Pevsner erhielt seinen Ph.D. in Pharmakologie und Molekularwissenschaften an der Johns Hopkins (1989) und absolvierte eine Postdoktorandenausbildung an der Stanford University (1989-1995) in der Abteilung für Molekular- und Zellphysiologie.
