Ram Prasad ist Assistenzprofessor, Amity Institute of Microbial Technology, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh. Er promovierte (Mikrobiologie) an der Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, für die er die experimentelle Arbeit an der School of Life Sciences der Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Neu-Delhi, durchführte. Er hat seinen MSc in Biowissenschaften an der School of Life Sciences, JNU, Neu-Delhi, gemacht und ist für CSIR-NET, GATE und ASRB-NET qualifiziert. Er hat 75 Veröffentlichungen zu seinem Verdienst, darunter Forschungsarbeiten und Buchkapitel auf internationaler und nationaler Ebene. Er hat außerdem fünf erteilte oder angemeldete Patente und ist Autor/Herausgeber von drei Büchern. Dr. Prasad verfügt über zwölf Jahre Forschungs- und neun Jahre Lehrerfahrung. Er wurde mit dem Young Scientist Award und der Goldmedaille von Prof. JS Datta Munshi ausgezeichnet. Er wurde außerdem mit dem FSAB-Stipendium der Gesellschaft für Angewandte Biotechnologie im Bereich Mikrobielle Biotechnologie ausgezeichnet. Kürzlich wurde ihm ein internationales Stipendium der American Cancer Society UICC (2014) für Beginning Investigators zuerkannt und er ist derzeit Visiting Assistant Professor an der Whiting School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, USA.
