Chloe Gong (geboren am 16. Dezember 1998) ist eine in China geborene neuseeländische Autorin von Romanen für junge Erwachsene. Ihr Debütroman These Violent Delights aus dem Jahr 2020 war ein Bestseller der New York Times.
Gong wurde in Shanghai, China, geboren und zog im Alter von zwei Jahren mit ihrer Familie nach Neuseeland.
Sie hat eine jüngere Schwester und einen jüngeren Bruder. Sie wuchs an der North Shore in Auckland, Neuseeland, auf und besuchte das Rangitoto College.
Während sie in Neuseeland aufwuchs, war Gong zu Hause in die chinesische Kultur eingetaucht, sprach Shanghai-Chinesisch, kochte chinesisches Essen und feierte chinesische Feiertage.

Sie gewann den besten Jugendroman bei den Sir Julius Vogel Awards 2021 für These Violent Delights. Die Fortsetzung Our Violent Ends wurde im November 2021 veröffentlicht. Gong schreibt auch eine Spinoff-Duologie, die „einer bekannten Figur“ aus These Violent Delights folgt. Das erste Buch der Spinoff-Duologie, Foul Lady Fortune, soll im Herbst 2022 erscheinen.
Im November 2021 kündigte Gong ihre erste Fantasy-Trilogie für Erwachsene an, inspiriert von Shakespeares Antony and Cleopatra und Chinas Kowloon Walled City.
