Reza Aslan (persisch: رضا اصلان, geboren am 3. Mai 1972) ist ein iranisch-amerikanischer Religionssoziologe, Schriftsteller und Fernsehmoderator. Als Jugendlicher vom schiitischen Islam zum evangelischen Christentum konvertiert, kehrte Aslan schließlich zum Islam zurück, schrieb aber weiterhin über das Christentum. Er hat vier Bücher über Religion geschrieben: No God but God: The Origins, Evolution, and Future of Islam, Beyond Fundamentalism: Confronting Religious Extremism in the Age of Globalization, Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth und God: A Geschichte der Menschheit.
