Melissa de la Cruz (geb. 1971) ist eine philippinisch-amerikanische Schriftstellerin, die für Jugendliteratur bekannt ist. Zu ihren Serien für junge Erwachsene gehören Au Pairs, The Blue Bloods und The Beauchamp Family.
Melissa de la Cruz wurde in Manila auf den Philippinen geboren und sagt, dass sie seit ihrem elften Lebensjahr Autorin werden wollte.
Sie wanderte 1985 mit 13 Jahren mit ihrer Familie in die Vereinigten Staaten aus und sie ließen sich in San Francisco nieder, wo sie ihren Abschluss an der Convent of the Sacred Heart High School machte.
