Ich bin Lehrerin für Naturwissenschaften, Schriftstellerin, Ehefrau und Mutter (nicht unbedingt in dieser Reihenfolge!), die im wunderschönen pazifischen Nordwesten lebt. Ich habe Biologie an der Boston University studiert und viele Kurse in Botanik und Mikrobiologie belegt. Danach arbeitete ich eine Weile in einem Labor für Wissenschaft und Science Writing, bevor ich die Graduiertenschule an der University of Washington besuchte, wo ich meinen Ph.D. in Botanik.
