Paul Seligson engagiert sich seit über 30 Jahren für TEFL und ist weltweit bekannt für seine lebhaften, äußerst praktischen Vorträge und Schulungen. Er hat in Algerien, Frankreich, Ägypten, Venezuela, Brasilien, Argentinien, der Türkei, Mexiko, dem Vereinigten Königreich und Spanien unterrichtet, wo er 5 Jahre als ADOS am British Council in Valencia verbracht hat. Er gründete und leitete auch seine eigene Sprachschule in Brighton und verfügt über umfangreiche Erfahrung auf allen Ebenen des Schulmanagements.
Als MA in TEFL und CELTA-Assessor gehören zu seinen zahlreichen Primär-, Sekundär- und Erwachsenenpublikationen Helping Students to Speak für die Richmond Teacher's Handbook Series, die er auch herausgibt, English File (OUP), English Teacher's Portfolio (British Council, Brasilien), Essential English 1-5 und Kids' Web (beide Richmond). Insgesamt hat er über 40 Bücher sowie zahlreiche Artikel in internationalen Zeitschriften veröffentlicht. Er hat Lehrer auf vier Kontinenten ausgebildet, COTE-, DOTE-, CELTA-, DELTA-, FTBE-, Graduierten- und Postgraduiertenkurse geleitet und weltweit Hunderte von Konferenzsitzungen in Englisch, Spanisch, Französisch und Portugiesisch gegeben. Er hat auch Beratungsarbeit an zahlreichen Universitäten in Europa, Nordafrika, West- und Zentralasien und Lateinamerika geleistet und Beobachtungsprogramme in Spanien, der Türkei und Mexiko eingerichtet. Zuletzt war er an der Ausbildung von Lehrern an staatlichen Schulen in ganz Brasilien beteiligt.
Er lebt in Rio de Janeiro und arbeitet als freiberuflicher Lehrer, Trainer, Autor und Berater.
