His life Khalil Hanna Tadros Abdel Sayed Ibrahim was born in Beni Suef Governorate. Khalil was the youngest of his brothers. He had no male brothers, but 3 older sisters, Mary, the middle one, Aida, and the youngest, Inayat. He completed his education in Beni Suef, then traveled to Cairo to work in the Insurance and Pensions Authority. In 1973 he married Mrs. Samira Shenouda Menkerios and had two sons and a daughter, Sameh, Ashraf and Nevin. He began his literary life in 1958, when his first collection of stories appeared, entitled The Devil of Love, from Al-Haditha Publishing House 2, Clot Bey Street, Cairo, to its owner, the late Nasr Obaid, who then published many of his stories. Since then until 1994, his books amounted to 115 books, most of which were reprinted more than once. One of his most famous novels is Nashwa and Love, which he published in 1965 for 10 piasters. It was reprinted about 20 editions. Severe, as it received a lot of criticism of the conservative nature of Egyptian traditions, his style approached the writer Ihsan Abdel Quddus in terms of boldness. In the mid-sixties of the last century, he met the Lebanese publisher Aboud Abboud, owner of Dar Al-Jeel publishing house, who published more than 50 books for him. He agreed with him to establish a branch of Dar Al-Jeel in Cairo on Faisal Street in Giza Governorate, and he will manage and supervise it and participate in the Cairo International Book Fair since The first year of his stay. At the beginning of his life in 1961, he worked as the Secretary of the Social Service Office at the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate, then he worked as an employee of the General Authority for Insurance and Pensions from 1962 until 1985, when he submitted his resignation to devote himself to his literary activity. In 1984, a lawsuit was filed against him and a vicious campaign accusing him of daring, but it was unsuccessful, as all his books have obtained the approval of the internal and external control authorities in Egypt and Lebanon, as well as the one who distributes his books, Egypt’s national role (Al-Ahram newspaper, Al-Akhbar newspaper and Al-Gomhouria newspaper) and the deposit number is registered on it on the date of its printing. Many Egyptian and Arab publishing houses have published his books, including Dar Kitabna, Al Nafeza Library, Dar Al Hayat, Ragab Library, Dar Al Kitab Al Arabi, Kunooz, Al Dawlia, Zahran, Madbouly and Kholoud Library, the Arab Library in Beirut and Dar Al Mukhtar. Some of his books were also presented as an e-book.
