Mohamed Dib, a great Algerian writer and novelist, was born in western Algeria in the city (Tlemcen) in 1920. He lived his childhood poor and then an orphan after his father died when he was still ten years old. But that did not stop his determination to continue his studies diligently in his hometown, and when he reached the age of nineteen he worked as a teacher and then moved in 1942 to work in the railways. Then he worked as an accountant, then a translator, then a decorator, then a craftsman in weaving making carpets. After moving in all these professions, he moved in 1948 to the Algerian capital and met there with the great French-Algerian writer (Albert Cammy), the Algerian writer (Mouloud Pharaoh) and others to increase his interest in writing and writing. And since 1950, he started working as a journalist and worked in the newspaper <> with the great Algerian writer << Kateb Yacine >> to whom we will later dedicate a topic to talk about.. God willing. In his journalistic writings, Mohamed Dib was opposed to the French colonial presence in Algeria and was exiled because of that. After that, Mohamed Dib toured many countries and cities, from Paris to Rome, and from Helsinki to the capitals of Eastern Europe, and he resided in the Kingdom of Morocco in 1960, and with the independence of Algeria in 1962 Mohamed Deeb returned to his family and relatives. In 1963, he was awarded in Algeria the State Appreciation Award for Literature, accompanied by the poet Muhammad Al-Eid Al-Khalifa, whose biography we will look at later and dedicate to him a single episode, God willing. He was the first Maghreb writer to receive the Francophone Prize, in 1994, when he received it from the French Academy for recognition of his narrative and poetic works. After he wrote the novel, the story, poetry and the play, and lived for more than 80 years, the Algerian writer Mohamed Dib died on May 2, 2003 in Saint-Cloud, a suburb of Paris. Mohamed Deeb published his first literary work in 1952, his famous novel "The Big House". It was published by the French "Lossoy", and its first edition sold out after one month. Then he published the novel "Who Remembers the Sea?", and then the novel "The Fire" in which he predicted the Algerian revolution, which broke out three months after its publication. In 1957 he published the novel "The Handle". Then his narrative writings continued between 1970 and 1977, and he published three novels: “God in the middle of brutality” in 1970, “The Master of Hunting” in 1973, and “Abel” in 1977. Muhammad Deeb left more than 30 authors, including 18 novels, the last of which is “If Satan Desires.” And “The Tree with the Gossip” in 1998, five collections of poetry, including “Oh, Let Life” in 1987, four collections of stories, including “The Wild Night” in 1997, and three plays, the last of which is “A Thousand Mercy to a Prostitute” in 1980. In addition to his translation of many works. In Finnish into French, he used to say about himself, speaking about his identity and its relationship to the language, "My fantasies and perceptions stem from the Arabic language.
