Amin Yusef Ghorab (March 31, 1912 - December 27, 1970). A well-known Egyptian writer and journalist who has written many short stories and novels, he also contributed to the editing of many Egyptian newspapers and wrote in some Arab newspapers.
He was born in the village of Mahalla Malik, Desouk Center, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, then his family moved to Damanhour at an early age, and from here he was raised and later worked in Damanhour. Amin Youssef Ghorab never entered schools, and did not learn an organized education in his life, and he did not read a single letter until he reached the age of seventeen, despite his upbringing in a wealthy family. Then he began to study and learn and was reading everything that came under his hand from Arabic literature and translated Western literature. Turning it into a movie starring: "Tahiya Karioka" and "Shukri Sarhan".
