Counselor Tariq Abdel-Fattah Salim Al-Bishri, the Egyptian thinker, historian and philosopher, one of the most prominent contemporary Egyptian jurists, held the position of First Vice President of the Egyptian State Council and President of the General Assembly of the Fatwa and Legislation Departments for several years. He continued to work with it until his retirement in 1998. His conversion to Islamic thought began after the defeat of 1967 AD, and his article "The Journey of Renewal in Islamic Legislation" was the first thing he wrote in this direction, and he is still writing to this day on law, history and thought.
