The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe pdf by c. s. lewis

"The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" is a classic children's novel written by C.S. Lewis. Published in 1950, it is the first book in the "Chronicles of Narnia" series, which has become a beloved classic of children's literature. The story follows the adventures of four siblings, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, as they explore a magical world called Narnia.

The story begins when the children are sent to live with an old professor in the countryside during the Second World War. While playing a game of hide-and-seek, Lucy discovers a mysterious wardrobe that leads her into the magical land of Narnia. She meets a faun named Mr. Tumnus, who tells her that Narnia is under the rule of an evil witch, who has made it always winter but never Christmas.

The children eventually discover the wardrobe and enter Narnia themselves. They meet a talking beaver who tells them about the prophecy of the return of Aslan, the great lion, who will overthrow the witch and restore Narnia to its former glory. Edmund, however, is lured by the witch's promises of power and betrays his siblings to her.

Aslan eventually returns and leads the Narnians in battle against the witch and her army. Edmund is redeemed and joins his siblings in the fight. The witch is defeated, and spring returns to Narnia. The children are crowned as kings and queens of Narnia and rule for many years before returning to their own world.
