Robert P. George es Profesor McCormick de Jurisprudencia y Director del Programa James Madison en Ideales e Instituciones Estadounidenses. Se ha desempeñado como presidente de la Comisión de Libertad Religiosa Internacional de los Estados Unidos (USCIRF), y antes de eso en el Consejo de Bioética del Presidente y como designado presidencial para la Comisión de Derechos Civiles de los Estados Unidos. También se ha desempeñado como U.S. miembro de la Comisión Mundial de Ética del Conocimiento Científico y la Tecnología (COMEST) de la UNESCO. Es ex miembro judicial de la Corte Suprema de los Estados Unidos, donde recibió el premio Justice Tom C. Clark. Graduado de Swarthmore College, tiene J.D. y M.T.S. títulos de la Universidad de Harvard y los títulos de D.Phil., B.C.L., D.C.L. y D.Litt. de la Universidad de Oxford.
