Se desempeñó como asesor sobre la gobernabilidad de la Shari'ah para la Junta de Servicios Financieros Islámicos, Kuala Lumpur, (2007-9). Asesoró al Banco Central de Qatar sobre política monetaria y coeficientes prudenciales (2009-10). Realizó un proyecto para el Banco Africano de Desarrollo sobre el estado y el potencial de las finanzas islámicas en el norte de África (2011).
