Robert Louis Stevenson nació en Escocia el 13 de noviembre, es un novelista, poeta, ensayista y escritor escocés especializado en literatura de viajes. Stevenson fue admirado por muchos escritores, como Jorge Luis Borges. Robert Lewis estudió ingeniería, la profesión de su padre, en la Universidad de Edimburgo, pero no estaba interesado en el tema. En 1871, cambió sus estudios a derecho. Pero sabía que también quería ser escritor. Después de la universidad, Robert Louis visitó Francia, Bélgica y Estados Unidos y escribió sobre estos viajes.
