El profesor Klaus Schwab (1938, Ravensburg, Alemania) es el fundador y presidente ejecutivo del Foro Económico Mundial. En 1971, publicó Modern Enterprise Management in Mechanical Engineering. Él argumenta en ese libro que una empresa debe servir no solo a los accionistas sino a todas las partes interesadas para lograr el crecimiento y la prosperidad a largo plazo.
