Ion Gheorghe Boldia (nacido el 7 de enero de 1945) es profesor emérito de la Universidad Politehnica Timisoara, Rumania. Ion Boldea ha introducido muchas novedades en tecnología de máquinas eléctricas para mejorar la productividad industrial, ahorrar energía y reducir la contaminación del aire. Desarrolló un factor de bondad óptimo para diseñar motores de inducción lineales de alta velocidad para abordar factores como las vibraciones mecánicas y la flexión.
