Majipoor Chronicles pdf

Robert Silverberg est un écrivain professionnel depuis 1955, largement connu pour ses histoires de science-fiction et de fantasy. Il est plusieurs fois lauréat des prix Hugo et Nebula, a été nommé au Temple de la renommée de la science-fiction en 1999 et, en 2004, a été désigné grand maître par les écrivains de science-fiction d'Amérique. Ses livres et ses histoires ont été traduits en quarante langues. Parmi ses titres les plus connus figurent NIGHTWINGS, DYING INSIDE, THE BOOK OF SKULLS, et les trois volumes du Majipoor Cycle : LORD VALENTINE'S CASTLE, MAJIPOOR CHRONICLES, VALENTINE PONTIFEX. Ses nouvelles rassemblées, couvrant près de soixante ans de travail, ont été publiées en neuf volumes par Subterranean Press. Son livre le plus récent est TALES OF MAJIPOOR (2013), une nouvelle collection d'histoires sur le monde géant rendu célèbre dans LORD VALENTINE'S CASTLE.

2nd book in the series begun with Lord Valentine's Castle, this is a collection of stories set on Majipoor connected by short interludes with Hissune. As the copyright page says: "Portions of this book have appeared in somewhat different form in Omni, Fantasy & Science Fiction & Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine." It adds some interesting details to the history & geography of the big planet, but does not really further the story of Valentine.
