चेतन भगत का जन्म 22 अप्रैल 1974 को हुआ था, वे एक भारतीय लेखक हैं। उन्हें टाइम पत्रिका की 2010 में दुनिया के 100 सबसे प्रभावशाली लोगों की सूची में शामिल किया गया था। भगत ने IIT दिल्ली से मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग में स्नातक किया और IIM अहमदाबाद से PGP पूरा किया। उन्होंने अपने करियर की शुरुआत एक निवेश बैंकर के रूप में की थी लेकिन कुछ वर्षों के बाद लेखन को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए इसे छोड़ दिया। उन्होंने दस उपन्यास और तीन गैर-फिक्शन किताबें लिखी हैं। उनका पहला उपन्यास (फाइव पॉइंट समवन) 2004 में प्रकाशित हुआ था। उनके उपन्यासों को बेस्टसेलर के रूप में सूचीबद्ध किया गया है। भगत ने 2014 में किक जैसी बॉलीवुड फिल्मों की पटकथा भी लिखी है और अपनी कहानियों को काई पो चे! भगत ने काई पो चे के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ पटकथा का फिल्मफेयर पुरस्कार जीता! 2014 में 59वें फिल्मफेयर पुरस्कारों में। उनका नवीनतम उपन्यास 400 दिन जो एक लापता बच्चे और निषिद्ध प्रेम पर आधारित है, 8 अक्टूबर 2021 को जारी किया गया था।
