Ernst Cassirer (1874 - 1945) è stato un filosofo e storico della filosofia tedesco, appartenente alla cosiddetta Scuola di "filosofia neokantiana" di Marburg. È meglio conosciuto come il più importante commentatore della filosofia critica kantiana del XX secolo. Lasciò la Germania nel 1933 e morì a New York.
