Douglas Jerome Preston (nato il 31 maggio 1956) è un giornalista e scrittore americano. Sebbene sia meglio conosciuto per i suoi thriller in collaborazione con Lincoln Child (tra cui la serie Agent Pendergast e la serie Gideon Crew), ha anche scritto sei romanzi da solista, tra cui la serie Wyman Ford e un romanzo intitolato Jennie, che è stato trasformato in un film dalla Disney.
