Mark Bagley è nato in una famiglia di militari a Francoforte, nella Germania occidentale (7 agosto 1957), è un fumettista americano. Ha lavorato per Marvel Comics su titoli come The Amazing Spider-Man, Thunderbolts, New Warriors e Ultimate Spider-Man e per DC Comics su Justice League of America, Batman e Trinity. Dopo il suo lavoro nell'esercito e al Ringling College of Art and Design, Bagley ha continuato a cercare di entrare nell'industria dei fumetti. Mentre lavorava in un lavoro di costruzione, ha subito un grave infortunio alla gamba mentre usava una sega a mano che ha richiesto 132 punti. Alla fine ha finito per lavorare per Lockheed Martin realizzando disegni tecnici.
