Крис Харман : родился 8 ноября 1942 г. - умер 7 ноября 2009 г., был журналистом, политическим деятелем и британским теоретиком-марксистом, а также членом Центрального комитета Социалистической рабочей партии Великобритании. Он был главным редактором журнала «Социалистический рабочий», а затем журнала «Интернациональный социализм». Харман родился в семье рабочего и учился в Лидском университете, где присоединился к группе троцкистских социалистов, позже основавших Социалистическую рабочую партию. После этого он поступил в Лондонскую школу экономики с намерением получить степень доктора философии, но не закончил учебу.
