Мюррей Сеймур Кламкин был американским математиком, известным как плодовитый докладчик и редактор профессионально сложных математических задач. Кламкин родился 5 марта 1921 года в Бруклине, штат Нью-Йорк. Он получил степень бакалавра в Cooper Union в 1942 году, а после четырех лет службы в армии США в 1947 году он получил степень магистра в Бруклинском политехническом институте, где преподавал с 1948 по 1957 год. The problems were first published as a series of problem booklets almost twenty years ago. They have stood the test of time and the demand for them has been steady. Their publication in book form is long overdue.
