O, Portekiz Mühendisler Enstitüsü tarafından MBA ve Mühendislik ve Endüstriyel Yönetim ile Metroloji alanlarında Uzmanlık ünvanlarına sahip Kıdemli Yetkili Mühendistir. Aynı zamanda FEANI-Brüksel tarafından Eur Ing ve IET-Londra Üyesi (FIET). Halen Portekiz Aveiro Üniversitesi Makine Mühendisliği Bölümü'nde profesördür. Ayrıca çeşitli üniversitelerde/kolejlerde fahri profesör olarak tanınmaktadır. İmalat, Malzeme, Makine ve Endüstri Mühendisliği alanlarında, özellikle Talaşlı İmalat ve Triboloji alanında olmak üzere, 30 yılı aşkın öğretim ve araştırma deneyimine sahiptir. Ayrıca Yönetim, Mühendislik Eğitimi ve Sürdürülebilirlik için Yüksek Öğrenim konularına da ilgi duymaktadır.
