Temple Grandin olarak da bilinen Mary Temple Grandin, tanınmış bir Amerikan hayvan bilimi profesörüdür ve otizmli insanların savunucusudur. 1947'de Boston, Massachusetts'te doğdu ve iki yaşında otizm teşhisi kondu.

Otizmi nedeniyle karşılaştığı zorluklara rağmen Grandin, Franklin Pierce College'dan psikoloji alanında lisans derecesi, Arizona Eyalet Üniversitesi'nden hayvan bilimi alanında yüksek lisans derecesi ve Ph.D. Urbana-Champaign'deki Illinois Üniversitesi'nden hayvan biliminde.

Grandin en çok hayvan refahı alanındaki çalışmaları ve besi hayvanı işleme tesislerinin tasarımına yaptığı katkılarla tanınır. Hayvan bilimi alanında etkili eserler haline gelen "Çeviri Hayvanları" ve "Resimlerle Düşünmek" de dahil olmak üzere konuyla ilgili birkaç kitap yazmıştır.

Grandin ayrıca otizm konusunda farkındalık yaratmada ve otizmli insanların haklarını savunmada öncü bir ses olmuştur.
