Maury Aaseng, Minnesota Duluth Üniversitesi'nden Grafik Tasarım alanında BFA derecesi ile mezun olan ve genç, kurgusal olmayan yetişkinler için çizimler oluşturduğu San Diego, California'da serbest illüstratör olarak çalışmaya başlayan Amerikalı bir illüstratördür. Kısa süre sonra çalışmaları tıbbi ve anatomik illüstrasyon alanına genişledi. Maury Aaseng şu anda eşi ve iki çocuğuyla birlikte Superior Gölü kıyılarında Duluth, Minnesota'da yaşıyor. Çalışmaları ilk olarak 2008'de Upstream People Gallery'de tanındı ve son olarak 2016'da Doymuş Yaşam başlıklı su ürünleri koleksiyonu Great Lakes Akvaryumu'nda gösterildi.
