Christina Latham-Koenig kariyerine 1976'da TEFL'de başladı, International House'da ve daha sonra British Council'de hem İspanya'da (Valencia) hem de Birleşik Krallık'ta öğretmenlik yaptı. 1987'de RSA Diploması'nda bir unvan aldı ve ardından İspanya'da bu kurs için yerel bir danışman oldu.
