Murray Seymour Klamkin, profesyonel olarak zor matematik problemlerinin üretken bir sunucusu ve editörü olarak bilinen Amerikalı bir matematikçiydi. Klamkin, 5 Mart 1921'de Brooklyn, New York'ta doğdu. 1942'de Cooper Union'dan lisans derecesi aldı ve Birleşik Devletler Ordusu'nda dört yıl hizmet ettikten sonra 1947'de Brooklyn Politeknik'ten yüksek lisans derecesi aldı ve 1948'den 1957'ye kadar öğretmenlik yaptı. Daha sonra, Klamkin AVCO'da çalıştı, Buffalo'daki New York Eyalet Üniversitesi'nde (1962-1964) ders verdi ve Ford Motor Company'de (1965-1976) baş araştırmacı bilim adamı olarak çalıştı. Bu süre zarfında Minnesota Üniversitesi'nde misafir profesör olarak görev yaptı. Ford'dan ayrıldıktan sonra Waterloo Üniversitesi'nde profesör oldu. 1976'dan 1981'e kadar Klamkin, Alberta Üniversitesi'nde Matematik Bölümünün başkanlığını yaptı. 1981'den sonra Alberta'da Fahri Profesör oldu.
