格雷戈里·本福德（生于 1941 年 1 月 30 日）是美国科幻小说作家和天体物理学家，是加州大学欧文分校物理与天文学系的名誉教授。他是《理性》杂志的特约编辑。
本福德写了银河中心传奇的科幻小说，从夜之海（1977）开始。
该系列假设了一个星系，其中有感知的有机生命与有感知的机电生命持续作战。
1969年，他写了第一个关于计算机病毒的故事《伤痕累累的人》，于1970年出版。
